One of the higher ministers in Ministry of Health warn the spread of dengue disease in Cambodia in 2012 is in the level of notice and danger. He persist for participation from the the villagers to inhibit mosquito and destroy feeding sites and always sleeping in the mosquito net.

 Ministry of Health announced on 16 April 2012 that in trimester early 2012 there are 8 children died and 1064 infected from dengue. In comparison to the year 2011 there are only 4 children died and 339 got infected. Though dengue disease increase about 303% higher that in 2011.

Ministry of Health is in the progress of free distributing the Abet to people in the provinces in order to kill the mosquito larva which growth to be female adult Anopheles and bite the people and cause dengue disease. It is preserving 170 tons of Abet in this 2012 more than in 2011 while the disease in spreading in this early year.

Mr. Chor Meng Chou, head of National Center Against Malaria Disease of Ministry of Health said the Ministry is in emergent of fighting the disease to prevent the fast spread of this disease. " We have reacted to this life disease since the start. We have operated with the organization and the office related parters with local authority in order to; 1/ Announce it publicly about this disease as mentioned above since mid February.

Report from Ministry of Health in Kandal province showed that for 14 months of early 2012 there were 225 infected and died 1case which only 54 case reported was infected and 1 died. In Phnom Penh there were 207 infected and 2 died while 104cases reporte and no dead case in 2011. Beside this also in this early 2012 there were 137cases in Kampong Cham, 127cases and 2 died in Banteay Meanchey and 125cases in Kampong Speu.

The disease is wide spread during the rainy season from May- October. Mr. Chor Meng Chou said the symptom is fever, high temperature up to 40ºC and rash on skin. The sick must sent immediately to cure and follow up in hospital and mustn't allow to take the Aspirin which might life threatening. 

Ministry of Health need 2million dollars each year to spend on planing to prevent the spread of dengue diseas.
